Off the wagon, old worn down house
failed relations, friends from far away.
Kids don't come easy, only your own
fast women and faster drinkin'.
Musty smells and lookin' back
big speakers, old tunes and new memories.
Punchin' clocks and killing dreams
no more pencils no more books.
Empty fishhooks with rusty ends
can't fool no one much longer.
Old men turnin' up the heat
console TVs with no cable.
Beat up new cars with dents
fools gold buyin' golf clubs.
No future with no past
was a long time comin'.
Ain't got no right.
